9th Sustainable and Impact Investments International Conference

Januar 22 - Januar 23

The 9th edition of the Sustainable and Impact Investments International Conference (SIIIC) will be held on January 22 and 23, 2026, at the Handwerkskammer Hamburg, located at Holstenwall 12, 20355 Hamburg, Germany. The event is organised by the Chair of Management and Sustainability at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, University of Hamburg.

The Conference brings together leading international academics, policymakers, and practitioners to present innovative research and engage in dialogue on critical issues in sustainable finance. Launched in 2017 by the Department of Management of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, the Conference has become a key annual meeting for global experts in social impact finance. For the 8th edition, please click here. Since the 2023 edition, the Conference has been co-organised with the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, GreenWatch (University College Dublin, UCD), SoGReS-MF (Jaume I University of Castellón), FINRES (UNED University, Spain), and The University of Hamburg. These institutions joined the founding partners: Sapienza University of Rome, UnitelmaSapienza, and Casmef – LUISS Guido Carli.

Dr. Hanne Roggemann (institut für finanzdienstleistungen – iff) and Gesa Vögele (Fair Finance Institute) submitted an extended abstract entitled Gender Lens Investing: Status quo, potential and barriers in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This was accepted, meaning that both will present a paper on this topic at the 9th SIIIC.  The paper will be presented by Gesa Vögele and Dr. Hanne Roggemann on 22 January  in ‘Session J – Sustainable Finance, Gender Equality, and Other Social Narratives’ (4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.).
